Nancy Moran

Once again, Nancy will be teaching at NSAI's Songposium event, which takes place Sept 21-24, 2010 this year.  This is a week long event where a multitude of songwriting and music business instructors descend on Nashville and offer over 120 different courses.  Attendees can take up to 16 different courses of their choosing.

Due to her touring schedule, Nancy will be teaching ALL THREE of her courses on the same day, Friday, Sept 24, 2010.  Whew!

Nancy's been invited to contribute to the brand-new upcoming ArtistData Musicians Tips blog. ArtistData is a web-based service for musicians, agents, and managers that allows you to input gigs, news, blogs and other info ONCE and have it automatically proliferated across the many platforms and social networks that you belong to. This save musicians numerous hours, leaving them more time to create music.

Well, about a month ago, ArtistData invited their artists to apply to be a contributing writer to their newest upcoming feature: a blog about their various areas of expertise - i.e. being an artist! Nancy applied right away and just heard that she made the final cut!

Hey Everyone! I'm in a cabin at Laurel Fork Rustic Retreat near Jamestown, TN...OK, so really I'm in the middle of nowhere! I'm here with my friend Susan Anders (co-writer of "Elastic Waistbands") for another Women's Writers Retreat. There are 7 of us altogether and we're here to get in touch with our creative sides.

This year, Susan & Holly (the organizers) decided to make things a little less structured than usual and simply allow things to flow for each individual. It's been good for me that way. I mostly needed some down time, some reflection time, even some quiet reading time...and that's what I've been doing. It's been terrific! AND quite productive, as I finally completed a song that I'd been working on the last couple of weeks. I'm really happy with it. And I'll try to post an audio or something soon so you can hear it in its very raw form.
